Jungle Burger, what can I say.. one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap and, in my opinion, they serve some of the best burgers in, well, in the world (I have traveled a lot) . Clayton, the owner, is from New Zealand and boy does he make good food. I first met Clayton several years back when a friend suggested I go along for his weekly pool competition at his previous restaurant Jungle Junction, I ordered the big pig burger, a feast of 100% pork fillet in golden bread crumbs, bacon, honey BBQ sauce, cheese and onions and not forgetting the free draught beer with every meal.
Well, I was hooked and started to go every week and have since been through the whole menu, from the chicken cordon bleu, to the stone baked pizza’s and everything in between, all of which are cooked to perfection. My wife especially loves the kiwi pies. I soon became more than a customer and became good friends with Clayton, who recently moved his restaurant closer to town and renamed it Jungle Burger Sports Bar and Bistro. Same great food, same great staff and still the same legendary pool competition every saturday night. This is a great place to mingle with expats, locals and tourist’s alike. Every sunday I can’t wait for saturday to come around again.
So, if you’re looking for good food, a good laugh and generally a great place to hang out I couldn’t recommend a better place. The pool competition is held every Saturday night from 7 and is free to enter, with the winner receiving a 15$ voucher to spend on food and drinks.
You can find Clayton and his team at Jungle Burger Sports Bar and Bistro, on street 26, just off Wat Bo street. You can also visit their websites for a full menu, and to make delivery orders.
